Sports Training Schedules,How Much Is Too Much?

You guys who play club cricket,how much do you train and how does it affect you. I have been thinking about this a lot lately because of all the injuries sustained while cricketers,footy players etc are training.One professional player who lives close to me runs up to 15kms some days and he has suffered a lot of injuries. Is that too much? What is your training routine,just gym and running or other activities?

It is very important to have a proper warm up schedule before you bowl,especially.Batting involves much lesser work as you can stay at one place and play.I do a lot of stretches,abdomen,shoulder,knee,groin etc. and loosen up my body.Starting the activity immediately is never good.
Once your body is properly conditioned to all this,you should start your practice.Not only will your results show but you will be injury free too.
And about running 15km every day, I can only say that will increase wear and tear of your knee,hence contributing to injuries.Running 8km in two sessions(morning and evening)coupled with the regular fielding practice and bowling or batting or both I think should be more than enough
